The AWS Village is a 20,000 sq/ft environment at the heart of Expo, where attendees meet with AWS specialists and learn about the latest technologies and services. The aim for this Village design was to create a sensory reprieve from the Expo through color and light. An illuminated framework forms the backbone of the space, with dynamic lighting representing the continuous flow of data across the AWS infrastructure.
From afar, the design is minimal in appearance, while within, attendees’ curiosity leads them to an environment full of vibrant illumination. Stable yet energetic elements symbolize how AWS provides a solid foundation to power the world’s most important digital experiences.
The Data Cubes visually respond to the number of attendees that are standing in a zone by speeding up and intensifying the illumination of the data trails
CONCEPT ART
We used Krea to train custom AI models for our three initial concepts. We developed a feedback loop of inputs to “steer” the AI during multiple rounds of concept exploration. The outcomes set us up to present finalized concept art we used for two round of clients reviews and ultimately helped shape the final design that was produced.
