These works can trace their beginnings to my enthusiasm for space-related discoveries and interplanetary exploration. From the readings of Frank Herbert, Arthur C. Clark and Isaac Asimov to the films of Gravity and Interstellar, what lies beyond our planet has been a source of inspiration and investigation in many of my projects. The forms and compositions in this series reflects an aesthetic not of our present time or technology. They present the audience with views and vistas of places beyond mainstream imagination, of planes of reality beyond the dimensions we can perceive and exert control over. This series is also an examination of contrasts – the unexpected interplay of vastness and emptiness within celestial space; a large form from far and minute details up close.
