Bio

Born and raised in Philadelphia, I was exposed to a wide variety of art and design both at home and in local museums growing up. After graduating high school, I attended Pennsylvania State University to pursue a degree in Marketing. Three years into my studies, it became clear that the field of marketing was not where I saw myself heading professionally and so when new opportunities presented themselves, I left the degree program to pursue them.

This decision brought me to Southern California, where I spent the next 8 years working in the action sports industry, initially for GT Bicycles and then apparel manufacturer NEMA. During this period I was able to travel extensively throughout North America and Europe, and was able to experience first hand the diversity of people and cultures around the world. It was during this time that my interest in design was reawakened and after designing several successful collections of apparel, I knew with certainty that this was the direction I should take.

This culminated in 2006 with the decision to leave the corporate world and pursue a new creative direction. Architecture, furniture design and material creation became my primary passion and pursuing a degree in Environmental Design, a field that covers all my areas of interest, became my ultimate goal.

I enjoy working in the physical and digital realm of design with a specific aim of being able to explore and pair form and function in complementary and unconventional ways.
